Designed across a 10 × 12 metre footprint, this garden brings together practical hard landscaping with thoughtful planting to create a balanced outdoor space. A sandstone terrace anchors the garden, providing a defined area for seating, while surrounding planting introduces texture and softness. The central lawn maintains openness, ensuring the garden feels spacious, adaptable and welcoming throughout the seasons.
A Calm and Functional Garden Designed for Everyday Living
A Multi-Functional Family Garden Designed for Play, Living and Longevity
Set within an 10 × 40 metre footprint, this long and narrow garden has been carefully structured using strong geometry and level changes to create distinct outdoor rooms. Linear porcelain paving guides movement through the space, connecting a generous dining terrace with a sunken seating area and surrounding planting beds. The design maximises usable space while maintaining clarity and balance, transforming a challenging proportion into a cohesive and functional garden suited to modern living.

About Dakic Garden Design
Dakic Garden Design is an award-winning garden design studio led by Jonathan and Briony Dakic. Based near Arundel in West Sussex, we create thoughtful, horticulture-led gardens for clients across Sussex, Hampshire and the South East.
Our journey into garden design began long before the business itself. Between us, we have over 30 years of professional horticultural experience, working in nurseries, historic gardens, garden centres and landscape projects before combining our knowledge to establish Dakic Garden Design. That practical background shapes every garden we create, ensuring our designs are not only beautiful on the day they are completed, but continue to develop and thrive for many years to come.
